  such a mix of feelings. for most of the film, i couldn’t believe I was watching a documentary - absolutely brutal. yet the way it’s told feels weirdly soft, almost tricking you into justifying the terrible anti-communist atrocities

  nothing extraordinary, really - but I suppose that’s the beauty of it. maybe it’s because I know a few of the people involved in this film, or because of the city it’s set in- a place I’ve somehow ended up in for what will probably only be a few years of my life. but it made me feel something I doubt most other settings could at this point in time. It felt familiar, almost like home, and i’m happy for that.

  wow. fucking loved it. everything from exceptionally crafted character blockings and cinematography to one of the best endings i’ve ever seen. just regular guys living their ordinary lives, not familiar to most of us, trying to figure out life like everyone else, just in their own ways
