There are songs for dads and there are films for dads, this is the ultimate dad movie. My take is that the movie progressively gets worse after the phone call, no action scene ever got close to that amount of tension. I think there were a lot of great performances here, unfortunately none of them from the star of the show. Soundtrack and editing just did not live up to what this movie needed. Redo the action and make it TENSE please :) Is it realistic? No. Is it basically just a dad fantasy? Yes. Is it fun? YES!

We need to talk about the sound design... I was thinking that it might be the best part of the movie up until that sound effect when the lil guy shat his pants, and then I KNEW it was the best part.
And god, can we talk about Ezra Miller's nails too??
