A professor once told me, "Don't confuse great documentary footage with a great documentary." I think this is a great way to look at most things.

This seemed like an awesome concert. Impressive physical accomplishment to do three hour shows for months on end. Very smart branding it as the "Eras Tour" rather than the "Greatest Hits" tour. Some fun choreography and outfits. Great music.

I had a good time watching this because it's a good concert, but it's a…

    Drive My Car

    ★★★★½

When humans are gone and all that remains are the things we made, the aliens or the robots or whatever comes next will be able to watch Drive My Car and get a sense of what it meant to be human.

This is a beautiful movie about loss, love, communication and art. Very moving. Very cathartic.

A good time at the movies. Genuinely funny. Fun attitude and style. Some cool visual flourishes and smart directorial choices that add energy and grab your focus. Doesn't reinvent the genre like some were expecting, but that was never the intention.

All the performances were good. I really liked Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Margot Robbie and John Cena, but it was Daniela Melchior that stole the show for me.
