Alien: Covenant 2017
To compose something so majestic, one could die happy.
Scotts seemingly final directorial forte into the Alien series as of August 4th 2024 remains a particularly interesting entry into the franchise as its one of the most spiteful “blockbuster” films of the 21st century. It resents its own existence because it is evident that this is not the direct follow up to Prometheus that Scott had wanted.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 2018
theres like a solid 30 minutes where this is the coolest movie in the franchise and the rest is maybe the most agonizing blockbuster experience ive had in a while. this shit stinks but it gets the 2 stars at least for that awesome 30 minutes

Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge 1991
The last of the Pro-Environmentalist Dragon Ball films and probably the most overt. Visually kinda a nose dive from the previous 4 films, but this felt a lot like a mini arc that you could feasibly plop into the manga and it mostly fits.

Kraven the Hunter 2024
Okay so like… i hate to say this but this was genuinely actually competent. I was actually kinda into it for the first 30-45 minutes. Its probably the closest these sony spin offs actually get to being unironically good, but it really falls flat in the second half.
