The Zone of Interest 2023
This is the kind of movie that is hard for me to review. Objectively it is a good movie and its message on the banality of evil is effective and powerful. The sound design deserves 5 stars. The use, or lack there of, of music and the sparse use of sounds to create an unsettling atmosphere was haunting and it really makes the movie. Subjectively I think the storyboard got lost in itself at times. There were parts of the movie that were being purposely odd or vague and the intention of those scenes never really came to light.
