    Deadpool & Wolverine

    ★★★★

    Positives -
Humour was still in good form, with DP's trademarked forth-wall breaking and self-awareness
Pays tribute to the Marvel films that were released by 20th Century in the pre-Disney buyout days, along with making it its swansong as its one last adventure
The storytelling department came up with a decent storyline that has become just as good as Logan itself

    Negative -
It felt slightly rushed with its story, which was acted as a slight retardant on the character development itself

  • Shrek

    Shrek

    ★★★★★

    + -
Vocal performances are enjoyable to listen to (Eddie Murphy as Donkey stands out, for his frontman-type energy to the role as Eddie is renowned for in his stand-up career and other films he has starred in)
Jeffery Katzenberg's message of "flicking two fingers up" at Disney works within the story, in regard to fairy tale expectations and tropes
CGI Animation was lightyears ahead of the time, from its liquid simulation when Shrek has his mud showers, along with combining matte-painting for backgrounds to blend with the animation, much to great results

    Brilliant Acting Performances
    Plenty of humour throughout
    Taika Watiti's Direction and Writing

    - -
May be a typical film under the "motivational underdog" genre

    Positives -
The Photography (both Anamorphic 35mm and 4:3 IMAX 70mm) is immersive
Countless Practical Effects and Scale-Models used
The Acting Performances from Heath Ledger (The Joker), Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/The Batman), Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent/Two-Face), and the rest of the cast
