The set design and costumes are incredible.
I'm not really sure how to think of this though. It's strange converting a play into a movie since there isn't that much that goes into making the change. It's mostly a reshoot with a fancier larger set.
Same for the acting. It still feels like a theater production. I loved both leads, but I still have no idea whether they are good actresses or not that could make the switch to actual movies.
It's pretty fun when it's just goofy. Jim Carrey was perfect for this.
