Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
It's funny, charming, and just the right amount of deeply sad. I found Didi resonated deeply with my own identity as a first-generation Chinese-American and coping with the realities of growing up encountering microaggressions, caring for my grandparents, and watching my older siblings leave for college. I cried, I laughed, and I felt it all.

Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó 2023
so beautiful, in 17 minutes I felt pride and sadness and joy and saw reflections of my grandparents lives. I loved this short film so much.

Black Swan 2010
This made me so incredibly uncomfortable, but I was so captivated by the entire movie. The coloring choices from pink/white to black/grey, the way Nina embodies the Swan Lake story. I hated the dance director but understood Nina's suppression, obsession, and overbearing mother.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
my favorite film of all time, so much complexity, humor, love, and healing. The first movie I ever felt truly seen through (as Joy lol). I cried and then sat in the dark for hours contemplating my life and the direction it has been going in. I always notice something new each time I watch and it only gets better. 10/10
