  not even big on musicals but this was a lot of fun to watch and i genuinely enjoyed the songs. andrew garfield v talented. great (true) story too and reminded me a lot of whiplash which is a favorite of mine.

  first off, freak film. what carried this movie for me was the aesthetic. the way darkness was used and the cinematography kept me immersed and I am huge on films/stories that bring that ambiance. lily rose depp killed it in her role and was my favorite performance. this movie made me realize how much I love the horror genre..it’s been a while since I last watched one.oh and Nosferatu had a mustache.
