Maybe the best portrayal of falling in love I’ve seen in a film. Felt like I was flying in that first half. Also has my favourite ending of the year

This is so insanely close to being a 9 but the film after a while fails to evolve its themes and message. The ending especially just feels really repetitive with what it’s conveying about vanity obsessed society and how we can become consumed with desires to be young and beautiful. Once the final transformation occurs, even though its horrific portrayal is really effective, you basically know exactly how the rest of the film is gonna play out from there.

The only time I've been genuinely scared while watching a movie.

Eraserhead is a nightmare in the best way possible. The movie explores the fears and troubles of becoming a parent mostly metaphorically through the point of view of Henry. The film perfectly captures the industrial wasteland Henry lives in with excellent sound design, cinematography and special effects that still hold up today.(How the hell did they make that baby?)

Eraserhead offers so much to dissect and I'll definitely revisit this horror classic many times.

One of the most incompetent and amateur films I've ever seen.

The characters are horrendous most of them do nothing the entire film, the story is a complete mess and the acting ranges from whatever to dogshit. Nothing makes any sense from a character and directorial point of view. I'm astonished by the decisions that were made for this film, I'm astonished this film even exists. It lacks so many basic principles of filmmaking. Disney has all the resources in the world to make a good film and this is what they're putting out.

    What a fucking embarrassment.
