Unpopular opinion but I don’t think this movie deserves the hype. I think Benedict Cumberbatch was miscast and while I love Plemons and Dunst as their roles and appreciated the scenes that felt like they were pulled from a horror film when you see Dunst continually harassed by Phil, I didn’t think it had to be as long as it did. The stance on toxic masculinity was also not as nuanced as I had hoped.
