The Boy and the Heron 2023
I am pleasantly surprised and in tears. Such a multi-layered film perfectly packaged in yet another beautifuly animated world from Miyazaki. This one is the type of films you can watch many times and have something new to learn depending on where you look. So much symbolism, this is definitely one of my top studio Ghibli films.
PS: My delulu brain is convinced it's the same tower from The Cat Returns 👀

20 Days in Mariupol is a film everyone should watch with all that is going on around the world it has audiences confronted with the realities of war and what if means for the people on the front lines. I was left speechless. This documentary not only highlights the power of film but the power of journalism. As the director thankfully made it out of the war zone many journalists unfortunately do not as they continue to put their life on the line to share the atrocities being committed to global audiences.

Saw X 2023
I have never watched a SAW movie but this made me want to go watch them all. This one was a stand alone film and I felt like I was able to follow despite not having seen the rest. A strong storyline with many surprises that I did not see coming, I was engaged throughout the whole film.
