I know this woman has a lot of problems but I look up to her anyway?!? Genius acting, no one compares to Isabelle Huppert. Seeing her in the last interior scene was a master class. Her face! Goddamn it. So so good.

The Boy and the Heron 2023
Very moving and earnest film that leaves you with more questions than answers (and that's OK!!!!). I appreciate Miyazaki's thought process so much--seeing him grapple with these existential questions in such a profoundly beautiful and creative way is a blessing and gift to all of us. Not to mention those cutie lil warawaras. I have heard clips of Rob Pat's Heron and the original is honestly much more of a serve.
