  It was so nice of those Black people to teach Bonhoeffer jazz and also how to be a Christian <3

  Jokes aside, it's a decent biopic (a wretched genre anyway). There are definitely a few eye-roll moments, and the evolution of Bonhoeffer's thought comes across as extremely shallow. But it was surprisingly engaging throughout, at least for someone like me who has a historical and philosophical interest in the subject but not enough prior knowledge to be mad about all…
