  Being from Ireland and watching this it definitely hits close to home. The acting I thought was very solid. You can tell Cillian Murphy cared about this movie, he seemed immersed in the role as Billy. Its a tough watch. A pretty sad and depressing picture is painted of rural Ireland, and attitudes of silence to just this one atrocity committed by the Church. I'll never not be surprised at the "but it won't happen to me" rhetoric that went on. I though it was a perfect length for the type of film it is. 8/10

  Bit of a strange one this. Went from a thriller/drama in the first film to a musical/wanna be courtroom drama. It seemed like the director didn't want to fully commit to the musical theme so jist chopped in a few cut scenes of gaga and joaquin singing. Not the best, although it was aesthetically pleasing and the songs were decent enough. 5/10
