Meh.
Hard not to watch this in the context of the Oscars, and Anora is just so much better.
Mostly it made me want to rewatch Lucian Msamati in Amadeus again.
(Also: there were too many umbrellas in that scene)
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Some of the single funniest jokes I've seen this year (group chat, Little Mr. 33, shift work, she made it weird, I will take you, whee!) not too mention the lone gay whoo. A few of the transitions could be a little smoother, but I'm excited to see more from him.
Incredible story of how this was found. I hope they find a bunch more in what was salvaged — and I hate to think that any of those films went to a landfill without being checked
The seltzer joke alone was worth it
That staircase scene!
(Sure, the reveals were a tiny bit telegraphed, and the script could have used maybe one more pass? But... that staircase scene! I loved how punchdrunk they were by the end.)
(A+ soundtrack)
