Conceptually fine, execution-ally splendid.
Black Bag utilizes classic camerawork, beautiful movie stars, and well-worn genre tropes to craft a delightful entry to the genre.

Re-watching this was a treat. All of my praises (and few criticisms) remain the same across all of my viewings of this movie, but I stand by the title I gave this film so long ago. It is definitely the "Godfather" of all Superhero films. It wasn't the first, but it was the best - it guided the genre and made it what it is today. Has any superhero film since come close to its greatness? Of course not. But the durability of the genre, in general, is completely due to this film.
Thank you, Christopher Nolan. Thank you.
