The Substance 2024
Excellent. A good watch for body horror fans or anyone who struggles with the relationship of yourself to your physical body. Goes from a body horror suspense to almost a different genre of insane horror-comedy in the last 15 mins. I think I would have loved it even more without the last 15 mins but I was still along for the ride.

Heretic 2024
A horror movie about mansplaining that also mansplains to the audience. Great performances and really lovely sets that are featured extensively. Supernatural, meta, and twist elements all fall a little short. Some tension that feels like it’s implying SA is possible and it doesn’t feel like the Directors earned the right to include that particular kind of fear even if it doesn’t outright occur.
