  no respect for elder, no respect for authority, no goals.... the only goal you have is just to buy a pair of cool sneakers

  almost watched this when it came out but ended up seeing something else instead, and probably would’ve liked it more if I saw it before I heard all the hype. Good but wouldn’t say it’s one of the best things I’ve seen. undeveloped characters and trope filled 💔

  this was wacky af but in the best way. the R rated version of barbie: woman learns who she is from interacting with various strange characters. Some unnecessary storylines (cut the entire ending tbh) especially in the last act, but nothing too dire.
  The cinematography and soundtrack were absolutely phenomenal, so different to anything else I’ve seen.
  Thought I’d hate Mark Ruffalos accent but it fit so well and his character was hilarious. The standout actor was however as expected, ms Stone. What a killer performance.

  uhh yeah no. Thoroughly creepy and without even any redeeming humour to keep it going. I’d like to imagine this is a commentary on how it’s some kids wet dream, but pointing out how the classic hot older woman fantasy is inherently fucked up - but honestly, I don’t think the film was smart enough for them to have even considered it. There was no realisation at the end, which might have made this bareable. If the director thought for 0.1 seconds about how this would be with genders reversed, they’d surely have canned it immediately.
