A lot of potential gone to waste, you can see fractions of what could’ve been a special film. The delve into Arthur/Joker’s psychology being almost entirely in just musical elements that are way over done is just such a let down. Gaga was a strongpoint yet it feels like she has more scenes in the trailers than in the actual film so whatever happened there stinks. Also that ending… where does that even come from and what reason is there…

Gripping from start to finish, action sequences are best in class, Tom Cruise is great as per but for me Hayley Atwell really steals the show, definitely my favourite film of hers to date and definitely one of Cruise’s best too. Bring on part 2 ASAP.
