if you think about it, this film shouldn't be an uplifting film to people at all. it’s a man pushing himself to the limits of his existence—working several jobs, skipping toilet breaks, sleeping in public toilets—just to be able to afford for himself and his child to live. it demonstrates how the capitalist idea of the american dream is frl a nightmare.

people don’t deserve to suffer like that to survive.

    a childhood favorite of mine.

this film is heartwarming, funny, and undoubtedly entertaining, which also had me hooked from the start. i might even go as far as to say that it’s pretty underrated, because people don’t give it the love it deserves nowadays. the characters, the animation, and the many great moments are well crafted. i could never get bored or grow tired of watching ROTG.

my mom definitely hates to see me coming when i have my yearly rewatch the second christmas is around the corner. in her words, she can basically “recite the whole movie” at this point lmao.

    one word: stunning.

this isn’t just a film; it’s an odyssey of the mind, a visual symphony that transcends the boundaries of space and time. it’s a journey through the cosmos, weaving together science, emotion, and sheer awe into a cinematic experience. it leaves a lasting impression on your soul and challenges you to ponder the infinite possibilities of existence, reminding you of the boundless potential of the human spirit.

one of christopher nolan’s best works for sure.
