It's very reminiscent of There Will Be Blood but not quite as effective or as powerful or as entertaining.
It's an indictment of America, and also of toxic masculinity and the patriarchy. It's at heart about power dynamics, and how success and renown corrupts. It's final parting shot about how it's not the journey but the destination after all is interesting.
