  I watched the 2007 movie musical about a million times as a kid. After watching a good chunk of John Waters’ work, I couldn’t wait to see the inspiration for probably the only musical I’ve ever really loved. This did not disappoint. I think plot wise, the musical made a lot of smart choices to tighten things up, and make you care more about other characters like Link and Tracy’s dad. But plot isn’t exactly Waters’ focus.
