Proof of cultural differences in humor perception, I guess? For me this is a laugh out loud kind of movie. Richards, Goldblum and Knight are especially funny.

Now, this is a movie.
Fell in love with Frederic March <3 Possibly best actor ever. And this movie made me realize I had to watch more of his stuff. Isn’t it weird that actors can win awards and be ultra famous and are so easily forgotten over time?
I watched this with an elderly lady who was very dear to me. She probably watched this movie in the cinema. She managed to keep the ending a secret. It is so sad but impactful.

The best thing about it was the cinematography. It was beautiful to look at. I loved the way it was shot in black and white, the appreciation of female form. The cringey part: the stop motion scenes were so cliche and unnecessary. Costume design was done well, and it fit with the story and look. The mask gave me 80s vibes and didn’t do anything for me.
