  Enjoyed The Batman quite a bit. The performances were excellent pretty much across the board; Pattinson and Kravitz are super compelling, Dano is super weird in a good way, and Jeffrey Wright is solid. They also found two large cop looking older dudes with weird high-ish voices, which I thought was very impressive.

  It's having to do a lot to adapt a massively complex book, but it does a good job keeping most themes around (branching futures, colonization, hero's journey, politics, etc.) while still being pretty plot heavy. It's also one of the most creatively designed and scored movies I think I've ever seen. Nothing looks like anything I've ever seen before, and Hans Zimmer went all out to an almost distracting degree. I'm going to watch it again at home before it…
