Enraging and heartbreaking film. I watched it in Nairobi, as a Kenyan who personally knew some of the descendants of the colonisers that remained — so in a sense, their racist and entitled perspective is not new to me. I loved following Simeon as the Samburu protagonist, and was deeply inspired by his will to fight for his community both at home but even in Nairobi, in the flawed and continually colonial legal & political system that Kenya currently has.
