I find David Lynch’s films to be hit or miss. While his work often has striking imagery, I rarely find his visuals consistently impressive aside from the occasional shot that stands out with strong composition and character. Eraserhead remains the high point for me in both visual style and storytelling, and I’ve yet to see another Lynch film that matches its level of craftsmanship.
