In video games, there is something I call the player’s view paradox. First-person view, in theory, lets you truly walk in someone’s shoes and understand your hero’s character and the ways he feels, but in fact, it is a third-person view, making you truly grow accustomed to the person you play as. Why? Because you can observe the character closely. You get to see his emotions, the way he moves, reacts, or dresses.
