Monkey Man 2024
The first half of the movie draws you in with the main character’s backstory, premise of resistance movement, anti-capitalism, and parallels to the Hindu mythology. However, it seems that it sets it up for something it cannot maintain in the second half. The whole film is about 80% montage & 20% bits of dialogue and establishing relationships between characters.
