  While the plot itself is a little clunky, the art direction and character design is INCREDIBLE! If it was 20-30 minutes longer it would be perfect. Reminded me a lot of the Aeon Flux show and Cool World. Really loved this!

  Could not find it for the longest time through my local library service or streaming, but finally was able to watch it on the Internet Archive!!

  LOVE the art direction of "Delicatessen," and all of Caro & Jeunet's collaborations--they have built a world so vivid and interactive that feels like a video game, in a way. As always, a really interesting film where there are multiple mini-plots happening at once that weave within one another and end up meddling in the business of other characters unintentionally. Each character is a little cartoonish and over-the-top. Dystopian, creepy, and a little silly. If you liked the video game "Alice: Madness Returns," or the book "Tender is the Flesh," I think you would really enjoy this!
