  was not really an erotic thriller as its described to be, but entertaining nonetheless. stressful often. unbearable at times!

  interesting plotline and exploration of power dynamics. the acting was quite excellent. something was missing though and i couldn't put my finger on it.

  in saying that, i still think it's worth a watch.

  the beginning of the movie had so much promise. it was quite beautiful looking, the characters (while caricature) were intriguing to watch and it seemed to be laying the foundations for an ending that would sustain the climax it was building. and yet, the movie completely falls in on itself in the final act. i was honestly just sitting there like...bffr rn. so disappointing.

  i do also think that it was debauche for the sake of being debauche. some scenes…

  i got to watch this for sff at state theatre hehe (thanks honi soit mwah) which was such a fun experience. i went alone and tbh i was concerned that 1) i wouldn't be able to sit through 3 hours; and 2) i'd heard about people walking out mid-movie bc they couldn't face it.

  but tbh, i didn't even find the duration tolerable. i found it enjoyable. i think that has a lot to do with it being broken up…
