After months of delaying, I finally had the privilege to watch potentially one of the highlights of Scorcese’s career. I could spend ages talking about both De Niro and Dicaprio’s performances in perfectly encapsulating ‘white greed’ and the suffering they placed onto the Osage people all in the name of capital, but I’d rather talk about Lily Gladstone who truly is the centre of the film, her acting and expressions running circles around the best in Hollywood today and as…

Honestly, I’m gonna be biased and say this is my favourite holiday movie (maybe ever?!) as it felt like the biggest warm hug at christmas time. I’m a stickler for the ‘found family’ trope and the expression of familial and platonic love being the foundations of the film is why I probably won’t stop recommending this to people. my favourite from the best picture race so far, love how fernando commands the screen in every scene even when we can obviously see eunice shaken with fear and uncertainty.

this was amazing but i feel like the last 30 minutes could have been better - it kind of loses its touch, but overall i love

torres’ name should already be engraved on that oscar cause she absolutely wiped the competition in her category and anything else is a fix

Honestly, I have no idea what to say - people argue that this is “Barbie’s chaotic older sister” and I completely agree cause these two were the most disappointing films i’ve watched from the 2023 slate, in my opinion. I under that this is an adapted tale but I spent a large proportion of my time imagining how perfect this film would’ve been if it reached its true potential. It is limited by two things, 1) sexual intercourse being the…
