I needed something I knew I would enjoy to get me through this evening, and Booksmart was absolutely the pick me up I needed. What an uplifting, funny, inspiring story of the kind of friendship everyone wants to have.
I just adore this film, perhaps even more this time through. Watching this is like eating a really good home made apple crumble. I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.
Just an incredible cast performing an incredible script. The writers manage to create every character in a way thats understandable and has depth, and that's what makes this a really great film. I was totally swept up in it and emotionally exhausted by the end, but in a good way. Definitely going to be watching this one again.
Honestly baffled how this film started with a syrian refugee getting seperated from his Dad at the border crossing, and ended with a thirty minute long rock concert.
Also baffled how and why Hugh Dennis, Ruth Jones, Celia Imrie and Craig Revel Horwood agreed to be in this bizarre mix up of a film.
Honestly I didn't hate it? The decision to shove every possible political debate possible into a childrens Christmas film was odd and could definitely have been…
Everyone hating on this film is just a scrooge who doesn't like happiness, joy, or christmas. It is so packed full of Christmas cheer, I can't get enough of it. Fred Claus ticks all my boxes ... renewed family relationships, positive character reformation and most importantly, Christmas. I just love it. May have shed a few tears at the end. What a beautiful film.
