    Watching this film, I would never guess it was made on a $500,000 budget. Gareth Edwards shines with excellent direction, gorgeous cinematography, production design, and visual effects. The overarching story is executed well and conveys a sense of fear and sadness. We are not shown total chaos, but rather management of a situation that doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.
