I live for this shit! What a masterfully crafted film. Paul Newman and Robert Redford are up there for the top duo in motion picture history. They have chemistry that very few actors have. The other performances were all specular as well. The story was brilliant, so many twists and turns and tense moments that kept me into it throughout. I love how the structure of the film kind of plays like a theater play or like reading a book…

There’s nothing I love more than watching a film for the first time and two thirds of the way through it you realize you are watching an absolute masterpiece. A full on investigative journalism film on one of the biggest scandals in U.S. history and which led ultimately to the downfall of Richard Nixon’s presidency. The film stays committed to the main plot line and doesn’t digress and the conversations and investigation keep you on your feet the entire time,…

What a nice film. Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman played so well together and their performances were amazing. I think this film does a good job of not being too offensive when showing its portrayal of someone with a mental disability and educating people. Sure, it may be dated in some aspects but I believe this film brings a better portrayal than a lot of films shows and out there. It’s heartwarming, sad at times, a character arc, and funny moments.

So far, Martin Scorsese is the director whom I’ve watched the most of, and in all my watches I hadn’t stumbled upon a bad or average film. I glad to say with The Color of Money, that streak still continues. An old pool player and hustler trying to get back in the game by recruits a young cocky talent. The clashing between Tom Cruise and Paul Newman is done well and it brings an interesting character study on Newman’s character.…

I think this film just ages better and better every viewing. Such an intricate storyline with one of the most absolute stellar villain performances ever. It’s crazy to think that this and There Will Be Blood within a month of each other. Could 2007 be amongst the best years in cinematic history? It certainly has a case I believe.

There’s always the question on what’s the greatest sequel of all time. Is it Empire Strikes Back? The Dark Knight? Terminator 2? Maybe the Two Towers? Or perhaps you’ll say Aliens.

However, I believe the fair majority (including myself) would agree that The Godfather Part II is the greatest sequel of all time. It’s the perfect continuation of the previous film that shows the decline of Michael Corleone. He’s more cold, ruthless, egotistical and cares for his business more than…
