  This is definitely my least favorite Marc Webb movie. Snow White is probably the best adaptation of the classic we’ve seen yet, but this is a good deal more direct. I just don’t think it works. Gal Gadot’s performance is really shallow, which is almost too apt. Rachel Zegler is better, but the iconic dress feels like a costume on her. The whole thing just seems to wish it was animated instead, especially the gnomes. They tried to do a faux-realism thing and it’s just weird

  Saw a midnight screening of this at the Music Box Theater in Chicago. A guy dressed like one of the characters from the parade at the end of the movie offered us tissues at the door but we didn’t know it was an inside joke yet. It was generally a fun experience with all the viewer engagement and hollering at the screen and such, but it’s just not funny nor immediately quotable as The Room
