  BAD BOYS II is a towering achievement. It is depraved, nihilistic, mean-spirited and altogether morally abhorrent.   The score is great, the train fight kicks ass, Connery is great, the opening titles are awesome, and it feels like the series has already started to hit its groove, although a few Bond-franchise mainstays have yet to be implemented (the opening action scene with Bond finishing a previous mission, I didn't catch a "Bond, James Bond", still no original song over the titles) but overall this feels like a solid template for the rest of the franchise.
