What an utterly disturbing and impactful film. a complete testament to the power of the visual medium and human emotion. Every time i think of fo this film my stomach goes into a knot. By removing the dialogue, emotion and actions take center stage , such a strong story without words. The brutality and passion of humanity is empathizing tenfold. To be honest, I expected to enjoy this film more than I did.
By all means the film is very beautiful and vulnerable look at a small Asian child (which i once was). I love the visual language of the film n intentional subtle character moments and subversions of expectations from our unreliable narrator.
