I think this movie gets better every single time I watch it. Finally saw this in a theater and it’s still so crazy to think how it must’ve felt watching it in 1942 when nobody knew what the outcome of WWII would be. The La Marseillaise scene is one of the best of all time.

This is a truly epic movie, no other word to describe it. The overture portion was so gripping and left me more excited for the rest of the film than maybe any other movie opening I’ve seen. This movie was way scarier than I was expecting. The setting, the zombie makeup, the dialogue, were all frightening. Linda was one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen in a movie and will definitely be in my nightmares. It wasn’t overly reliant on jump scares or anything like that but instead crafted a truly horrifying experience.
