    took me straight back to 6th grade where shoujo anime and romance was all there was to life,, its cliche, fast-paced, and quite predictable but man did i have a fun time!

    and yet, the music room calls with its hypnotizing echoes of sound enhanced by previous musicians and dancers...one final calling, a farewell to an existence that has reached below, unable to stand against the waves of time
    as if it never happened at all

    didn't really (or maybe i simply cant remember) feel like it hit me the first time i watched it a few years ago but god, theres so much in this movie to wrap my head around (guess thats what living a lil does to ya)

    themes of possession, place identity, insertion of "business", yin and yang, significance of life, inevitability of death, one's own destruction without the other- THERES JUST SO MUCH. and despite that, i love how the movie…

    playtime with my mind:
    - from what dialogue there is in here, it'd seem like a PAIN in the ass to try to get an inch of subtitle out of it
    - i do feel that the party segment could of shorten a bit, allowing the airport/building part to breathe but as they say, it is the life of the party haha
    the structure of these shots blend the past and present together (both figuratively (<- mostly on hulot's end)…
