The Taste of Mango 2023
I was taken on a journey on this film. It was powerful and gripping. I cried so much (SO MUCH) because it reminded me of how south asian duty, honour and trauma can ruin family relations. I love a generational story line cos it reminds me of how we leave parts of ourselves through our children. Seeing the way the director questions her background and advocates for her mothers pains just shows how powerful familial love can be.
