  This movie is beautiful but it plays into so many harmful trans stereotypes it makes me sick to my stomach. I understand that Hedwig is a gender queer person and not a trans woman, and I do believe this was written in good faith by a non-binary person.   Earnest review: This move is such a delight. I knew this was going to be amazing, but not to the degree that it was. It is so hopeful, but it also takes itself so seriously, which is something I feel action movies rarely accomplish at the same time.
