Have you ever seen a perfect movie?? Like actually perfect. Anyone making a movie with any use of CGI should watch this movie. Practical effects are so amazing 40+ years later I get almost nauseous at some of the grotesque horror! Kurt Russel is PHENOMENAL. Kurt Russel if ur seeing this I won’t u.

I may do a rewatch to write a better in depth review but one thing I vividly remember feeling during this movie was ANXIETY. the scene when they are at the bond office and Jennifer Leigh (my god woman u perfectly play mentally ill women) is trying to contact her mom due to a card decline. They give you these claustrophobic close up shots of all these people in the room, all trying to be heard and accomplish something and it feels like the room is spinning there’s so much pressure and anxiety happening. Perfect perfect perfect

I dont blame the trope of 19 year old boy getting into film makes this movie his personality. Its like when you say a bands most popular song is your favorite and get judged like, it’s widely known and incredibly renowned for a reason!

Sometimes you watch a movie and you get that shit writing and directing where characters are explaining things through dialogue to the audience rather than the movie showing you and then letting you feel and think. It’s lazy writing and it creates a lazy viewer. This movie does not do that. Without spoiling, there is a scene where a couple who are no longer together after a terrible trauma, run into eachother in public. As the viewer we know what…
