What do you say about an old movie like this? Well, here are my two cents:
First, the acting isn't better than okay. Sean Connery has had much better films.
Second, old movies are sexist to the moon and back. An incredibly dreamy and slow-paced movie about the first love and human connections, life and occasionally about libido. Italian, French and English are spoken and being switched flawlessly by multiple actors. Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer perform their roles really well. Sufjan Stevens is part of the soundtrack. What do you need more?
