Sean Baker is going to be acknowledged as an all time great if he keeps putting movies like this out. This movies cinematography was utterly breathtaking to say the least and the writing was great. A film centered around a man who came on a bus to Texas city with pants and a gray wife beater with NSYNC in the background, and left the exact same way. Red Rocket is different than most films because you don’t see Mikey (Simon Rex) actually change his behavior at all and that’s what makes this film so intriguing. Bye bye bye.

P.T. Anderson does it yet again. I am genuinely in love with how well he incorporates realism and grittiness into his cinematography. This movie proves that he still got it and this might be one of his best. Great directing, great writing, fairly decent casting, and good acting.

4 actors, one set, great director (terrible human but must acknowledge his directing skills) equals a movie better than some with a 500 million dollar budget.

At least 75 percent of the budget for this film went to the cast.
