Army of darkness continues where it’s predecessor left off; Ash is dropped into 14th century medieval times, tasked to retrieve the necronomicon and get back home. Bruce Campbell’s portrayal of the charismatic and quick-witted Ash is as hilarious and entertaining as ever. Showcasing my favorite performance from Bruce in the trilogy; truly at his comedic best. The movie constantly hits you with comedic moments, and Ash delivering one liners kept me thoroughly entertained all the way through. Although the movie is far from the original, this film adopts a fresh perspective on the franchise, and makes me further appreciate Bruce’s character, and Raimi’s vision even more.
