Dune II Lacked the subtle atmosphere that I loved with the first movie. I enjoyed the allegorical mirroring of our reality, in regard to appropriation of culture and identity. The iconology in this aspect was especially compelling if you could see past the hollywood charades. The theme of colonialism, of west against east and the illuminati-esque oligarchs of the world, combined with the theme of fate (or propaganda, haha) is always interesting- but it's a difficult message to execute in…

Can't wait to watch this movie again..!
Came here to rate it and while recalling its name I thought: "uh, fuck, what's the indication of the title in this damn orchestra?". I got swept away, ironically, c'est la vie.
Feel like I fished in an endless stream of themes and points of intrest- hope to tie down the title next time.
