Slightly underwhelming in places because a lot of the throwaway sciencey stuff is basically just reposting memes out loud, and of course we have to have yet another lecture on what comedy is and isn't (AGAIN) for the first ten minutes.
Also, if I'm being honest, the real problem with RG's trans material is that it's just really forgettable stuff. Which somewhat undercuts one of the themes of the show.

This *needs* to become a cult rom-com way more than it is. Easily one of the smartest, funniest, best made movies in this genre (that being 'high-school based rom-coms that appropriate large amounts of Jane Austen and Shakespeare and run wild with it').
Whatever it is, it wasn't for me.
All the insipid, emotive storytelling of the other 2017 franchise exploitation efforts, with the bizarrely weak action sequences of said, awkward/gimmicky dialogue (which gets old after the first few times, but never lets up), and constant reappropriation of classic moments from the original trilogy in service of an utterly braindead main storyline.
All that, and a vastly diminished Rey - at the cost of exhalting Kylo Ren, no less!
