  Peele’s reputation preceded his work here. I am sure I could have enjoyed this more if I didn’t know what he is truly capable of. Missed the mark for me.

  A half-prominent undertone of class struggles, themes of identity, Anderson’s usual soothing symmetries, and a classic Dahl adventure means this quick fix of a film can be enjoyed for its multiple layers. But of course, by no means should you feel compelled to peel them all. A passive viewer can have some good fun with this too!
