    The fact of the matter is, it might be the end of the world, but in the eyes of a loving parent such as John Krasinski’s Lee Abbott, the world is your children. 

    This was an amazing watch. You have giga-concepts with apocalyptic themes, but concentrated and focussed around the family.

    From a filmmaking perspective, it is so blooming clever to see the apocalypse through the lens of meaningful family relationships.

    With this intimate approach, concepts become even more terrifying.…

    Of course, to follow suit of the Batman lingo, this was a bat-weird, bat-film that made me question my bat-sanity. 

    Alongside the tight leggings there were admittedly a lot of Dicks (of course I’m referring to the yacht captain’s reading habits and Robin’s real identity, nothing more…)

    But with the occasional random couple snogging, the instant outfit lever and Catwoman’s need to randomly meow, I was often left asking, in a hazed state, “what was that?”

    From courier font credits to movie references, The Fall Guy is a cheeky, cartoonish love letter to the world of stunts and filmmaking. It’s creative, cute, chaotic, and charming.

    Although the plot takes a while to form clearly, the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt carries the film throughout. 

    Were some jokes overplayed? Perhaps. But was I laughing at Ryan Gosling’s character getting set alight, extinguished and set alight again by his ex, played by Emily Blunt? Absolutely.
